Amanda Tillander

Sales Representative

Amanda’s journey in business began early, as she gained valuable insights into commerce through her father’s companies. This exposure gave her a unique perspective on business operations and helped her develop a strong understanding of the marketplace.


Her lifelong experience in sales sharpened her customer service skills and deepened her knowledge of essential business management elements.


Early in her career, Amanda took on the challenge of managing her own venture, overseeing all aspects of operations and handling financial matters meticulously. This hands-on experience provided a solid foundation for future endeavors, equipping her with practical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.


Recognizing the value of formal education to advance her career goals, Amanda pursued an associate degree in business to enhance both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Driven by a desire for new challenges, she joined the family company specializing in metal buildings. In this role, she learned about construction-specific design principles and logistics.


Five years into this venture, Amanda has gained extensive expertise not only in technical design but also in effectively laying out metal structures on architectural plans. Her proficiency enables precise quotes and realistic project timelines for clients—ensuring transparency from inquiry to completion fosters trust and satisfaction among customers seeking reliable construction solutions.


To further refine her industry capabilities, Amanda has enrolled in specialized courses related to construction practices specific to metal structures. Nicole Tillander

Office Manager

In 2015, Nicole joined the team at Florida Metal Business Services and was challenged with developing a sales and customer service base for the company. Through those accomplishments, Nicole learned the blueprints for success in the metal building business.


Nearly 10 years later, her position shifted, and her focus was directed to effectively running the internal operations and managing staff.


Her key qualifications and leadership style support the complexity of running a family-owned business and effectively overseeing daily operations at the company.


As a detail-oriented manager, Nicole formulates and implements robust policies and procedures. Her approach enhances efficiency and compliance across the organization. Nicole recognized that the company’s people are their greatest asset. She manages human resources, fostering talent, and creating a positive work environment. Nicole has successfully scaled teams and internal processes to support business growth. Her adaptability and leadership will ensure that the organization thrives even during its rapid growth and expansion phase.

Joe Bijesse

Director of Sales

In January 2021, Joe Bijesse embarked on a new chapter with Florida Metal Building Services as the Director of Sales. His strategic vision and leadership continue to drive the company’s success and uphold its position as a leader in the metal building industry.


Joe is an experienced professional in the construction management industry with a career spanning over three decades. His journey began as a Site Supervisor at Half Moon Bay Condominiums in Croton on Hudson, NY, where he served from 1990 to 1995. His leadership skills and expertise in overseeing complex construction projects were evident during his tenure.


In 1995, Joe took a significant step in his career by becoming the co-owner and Vice President of Tartaglione Consultants Corp. in Peekskill, NY. For 13 years, he specialized in construction management with a focus on pre-engineered structures, contributing to the company’s growth and reputation in the industry. Joe’s commitment to excellence and innovation led him to serve on the American Buildings Presidential Advisory Council from 2004 to 2006, where he provided valuable insights and guidance on various construction initiatives.


His extensive experience and knowledge in the field were further recognized when he joined American Buildings Company as a District Manager in 2008. Covering the North Florida and South Georgia territory, Joe’s exceptional sales and management skills earned him the prestigious title of Salesperson of the Year for the ABC South Division in 2017.


Joe’s impressive career is a testament to his dedication, strategic achievements, and ability to adapt to demands of the construction industry.



Chris Tillander

Construction Leader

A visionary leader at Florida Metal Building Services, Chris Tillander embarked on his commitment to construction teams and clients at the age of 18. Chris is a seasoned construction leader with more than 20 years of experience.


As a visionary leader, he successfully oversees multimillion-dollar construction projects, demonstrating exceptional skills in resource allocation, labor relations, and project management.

Geno Perez

Director of Operations

Since joining Florida Metal Building Services in 2023, Geno has played an instrumental role in steering complex projects toward successful completion. Roger Andrews

General Superintendent

Roger Andrews boasts a diverse and extensive background in the construction industry, particularly with an emphasis on multi-family new construction projects.


His impressive career spans over a decade, during which he has honed his skills in various critical areas such as site work, concrete installation, underground utility management, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. In addition to his expertise in new builds, Andrews has considerable experience in multi-family renovations, showcasing his adaptability and proficiency across different aspects of construction.


Currently, Andrews has shifted his focus toward metal buildings—a sector that is becoming increasingly popular due to its durability and efficiency. This transition illustrates his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.


Prior to embarking on his construction career, he dedicated 22 years of service to the United States Air Force. Within this role, he skillfully managed a structural repair shop that played a vital part in maintaining aircraft integrity. After retiring from military service, Andrews transitioned into the civilian workforce as a government contractor. In this capacity, he led an impressive team of 297 personnel tasked with executing comprehensive reset and modification maintenance for U.S. Army helicopters stationed throughout the central United States.


His leadership skills were paramount; as the general superintendent for the contracting company overseeing these operations, he was responsible for ensuring that all projects adhered to strict timelines while adhering to quality standards.


In this pivotal role within the company structure, Andrews meticulously oversees most ongoing projects by coordinating schedules with subcontractors immediately after contracts are finalized. This proactive approach allows him to ensure that all elements of construction are synchronized effectively. Additionally, he collaborates closely with site superintendents throughout each day to monitor project progression and resolve any issues that may arise promptly—further demonstrating his hands-on management style.


Overall, Roger Andrews has amassed an impressive 11 years of experience specifically within the construction field since transitioning from military service—an accomplishment underscored by both breadth and depth of knowledge across multiple facets of building processes.

Shelly Hurtt-Mallory

Executive Assistant

Shelly Hurtt-Mallory is deeply rooted in the realms of strong executive administration, financial management, and operational efficiency, which are essential qualities for success in today’s fast-paced business environment.


Shelley brings over 12 years of experience in executive administration, financial management, and operations. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence and organizational success. Before joining Florida Metal Building Services, Shelley co-owned a successful construction framing company in The Villages, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in project management and financial planning. This entrepreneurial background provided her with practical insights into the fast-paced construction industry and further developed her leadership skills.


At FMBS, Shelley plays a key role on the leadership team by managing complex schedules, overseeing vendor accounts with accuracy, and handling detailed financial reporting—tasks that are essential for smooth daily operations. She is proficient in software platforms such as QuickBooks, JobNimbus, and Microsoft Office Suite. To stay ahead in an evolving industry, Shelley is also learning Sage and Procore to enhance her technical capabilities.


Shelley’s dedication extends beyond routine duties; she actively encourages innovation while maintaining high operational standards. Her combination of practical expertise, technological proficiency, and enthusiasm makes her an invaluable member of FMBS as the company pursues continued growth.



Shawn Andrews

VP of Construction

Shawn is a seasoned construction executive with over 30 years of experience leading complex projects across the industry. Shawn specializes in Construction Management with a passion for delivering successful outcomes for all project stakeholders.


As Vice President of Construction, he is deeply involved in every phase of the development and design process—from estimating preliminary construction costs and reviewing engineering reports, to ensuring constructability, value engineering, and accuracy across all civil, structural, and architectural documents. Shawn creates and manages project budgets, schedules, and safety plans, ensuring ADA and FHA compliance across all documentation.


Shawn oversees regional directors and project managers, guiding them through subcontractor sourcing, bidding, buyout, scope development, and change order management. He plays a key role in identifying underperforming subcontractors and implementing coaching or supplemental strategies to maintain project commitments. A believer in clear communication and accountability, he ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as well as project schedules, are maintained in line with corporate policy.


Shawn also authored the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to ensure consistency and excellence across all construction operations. He begins project closeout planning at project startup to ensure seamless turnover to development partners.


Outside of work, Shawn enjoys food, drink, and well-earned rest.

Pricilla Padilla

Construction Project Manager

Priscilla Padilla has more than 13 years of experience in construction project management, specializing in roofing systems and pre-engineered metal buildings. Over her career, she has gained significant expertise in managing complex construction projects from start to finish. At Florida Metal Building Services, Priscilla is responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, including planning and scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation, on-site execution, and final project delivery.


She places a strong emphasis on safety by upholding rigorous standards across all job sites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Priscilla carefully monitors budgets to avoid cost overruns and implements strategies that keep projects on schedule. Her technical knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills are widely recognized within the industry.


In addition to her technical abilities, Priscilla demonstrates strong leadership by effectively coordinating cross-functional teams and subcontractors from various trades. She promotes collaboration and clear communication throughout each project phase. As an Assistant Project Manager with a strong foundation in customer service, I offer a valuable combination of communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills that are crucial for effective project management. My background in customer service has sharpened my ability to listen carefully, address concerns promptly, and build positive relationships—capabilities that support successful collaboration with both colleagues and clients in the construction sector.


In my current role, I assist project teams and work closely with the Project Management Team to ensure each stage of our projects progresses smoothly. My responsibilities include coordinating schedules, tracking progress against deadlines, and helping resolve issues as they arise during construction. My organizational skills enable me to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail.


I am dedicated to building a long-term career in construction management. David is a dedicated and stable presence at Florida Metal Building Services. Married for 35+ years and the father of two children, David has deep roots in Ocala, FL, where he was born and raised. His strong connection to the local community is reflected in his long-standing commitment to his work.


At Florida Metal Building Services, David plays a vital role with responsibilities that are essential to daily operations. His tasks include managing building repairs to keep facilities in top condition, overseeing lawn care services, handling parts pick-up and delivery, as well as loading and unloading trucks for various projects. These duties require adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.


David has been with the company for over 12 years—a clear indication of his reliability and value as an employee. He also brings more than 25 years of experience in lawn care services and over a decade of hands-on expertise constructing metal buildings with the company. This combination of skills makes him an indispensable member of the team whose contributions significantly support both maintenance operations and project logistics.



Duane Hooper

Construction & Logistics

Duane Hooper’s extensive experience and versatile skill set make him a highly respected figure in the construction industry, where he excels across a wide range of building disciplines.


Duane is a seasoned professional in the construction industry, bringing over 18 years of experience in both commercial and residential roofing. His expertise extends beyond roofing to include substantial hands-on knowledge in steel and wood framing—skills that are essential across various building projects. Duane has played key roles in erecting metal and steel buildings and has worked through nearly every major phase of construction, giving him a thorough understanding of large-scale project execution.


At Florida Metal Building Services, Duane’s responsibilities are diverse. He manages the assembly of complex metal structures, completes detailed punch list items, performs critical building repairs, and oversees logistics such as loading and unloading trucks to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites. His proficiency also includes trim work, where his attention to detail enhances both the functionality and appearance of finished spaces.


Duane holds certifications for operating equipment like scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, and skid steers—tools vital for efficient construction operations. In addition to his core skills in roofing and framing, he has several years’ experience with minor plumbing repairs/installations as well as electrical work. His strong problem-solving abilities allow him to address unexpected challenges effectively on site.


Overall, Duane Hooper’s broad skill set makes him a valuable asset on any construction project due to his versatility across multiple disciplines within the field.

Savannah Lancaster

Marketing Specialist

Savannah Lancaster brings a wealth of experience to her role, with a professional background spanning photography, retail sales, animal and equine care, and veterinary assistance.


She previously worked as both a photographer and retail salesperson at SeaWorld Orlando. Over the course of more than eight years, Savannah served as a Veterinary Technician and Surgery Technician at four clinics across Central Florida, where she developed extensive hands-on expertise with small animals.


In addition to her veterinary work, Savannah has several years of experience as an Equine Groom and Equine Photographer. With over 22 years in the horse industry, she is well-versed in riding and showing horses in disciplines such as Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Trail, Cattle Sorting, and Ranch Riding. Her involvement with Polk County 4-H spanned more than a decade; during this time she was active as both a camp counselor for summer camps and as a competitor in statewide dog and horse shows. Raised on a large ranch in Central Florida where she owned horses and cattle for much of her life, Savannah’s roots are firmly planted in the agricultural community.


Academically, Savannah attended Polk State College followed by the College of Central Florida.


At Florida Metal Building Services (FMBS), Savannah manages all marketing initiatives along with social media accounts. She attends company events to provide photography coverage for job sites—both current projects and completed works—and handles photo editing duties. Additionally, she supports business event coverage while performing various administrative tasks to assist her team.


With over 17 years of photography experience under her belt—and having actively built her social media presence for about 12 years—Savannah began her professional marketing career at FMBS approximately four months ago but has performed similar roles elsewhere previously. Her skill set includes hands-on expertise in photography; social media marketing; photo editing; advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency; retail sales management; customer service; and deep knowledge of the equine industry.
